We are fortunate to live where the seasons are so distinct! Suddenly, the chickens are laying four eggs a day, the lambs seem to be growing a pound a day, the trees are blooming, the pastures are green, the peas have sprouted, the onion sets are up. When I pulled all the weeds from the asparagus bed, I found shoots–and now we can begin eating from the garden.
At work I sent an email out to the 4th floor asking if anyone was interested in fresh brown eggs. In 8 minutes I had 15 customers, and several who asked for two dozen!
Many of our veggies need to be started indoors before they are planted in the garden. This year they seemed quick to sprout but slow to grow. Patience….
